Bridey & Ash

Newcastle, 17.10.2025

“Sometimes I look at you, and still can’t understand
how someone didn’t see what I see.
Have they not noticed the way
your soul lights up a room the you laugh?”

“With you I’ve learnt that home isn’t a place,
it’s a person.And you are my home.
My comfort in a chaos, my calm in a storm.
And a reminder that even the darkest night ends with a morning”

From the first email with Bridey I had a feeling that I know what kind of people Bridey and Ash are.
And I wasn’t wrong. These 2 are the warmest, kindest and compassionate people you meet.
When you are invited for a dinner, you are part of the family kind of people.

And their wedding was just like that

Preparation

It was a very intimate wedding, with closest friends and family. How I know that? Because each and every guest received a hand written letter to make sure they know how important they are in Bridey and Ash’s lives. But We’ll get there :)

It was a beautiful morning, I went to see how the ceremony site looks like, where to place the cameras, where the people will be seated. Then I went to say ‘hi’ to Bridey and Ash.

After that we stayed with Ash. Their sun was napping so we didn’t want to wake him up yet. Everything went so smooth. We did capture some details of the suit, etc. but that’s not important. We sat on a couch with Ash and his brother Reece, had a chat about the day, the expectations, some memories and thoughts about Bridey and Ash when they started dating. It was extremely relaxed, warm and candid.
We ‘got him dressed’ - his mum helped :)) and headed to Bridey afterwards.

The highlight of Bride’s morning was definitely the letter from Ash. Last words of love and encouragement before the ‘I do’.
Her mom, sister and daughter were with us there. Before we left, Bridey’s father had a chance to see her for the first time I her bridal dress. Don’t know if you can notice, but he definitely tried not to cry when Bridey looked away for a second. Love capturing those moments. You don’t even notice them, but I do :)

Ceremony

Short and sweet. That’s it.

No, I’m joking. From the emotions and tears of Ash waiting for Bridey and seeing her for the first time, to their absolutely beautiful and moving personal vows.
If the love could speak - this is how it would sound.
The vows were absolutely beautiful. You can hear them in my film from their wedding.

A little walk ‘around the corner’

We had fun, not gonna lie. Ash and Bridey are naturally funny, open, affectionate. So our ‘posing’ during the session was simply just drop an idea and let them be them. Love that. Authenticity is something very important for me. I want them to feel relaxed and capture the natural emotions.

Reception

Everyone invited held an important place in their hearts. It was noticeable from the first second everyone got together. Kind words, emotions, warmth. You can tell how close those people are. But the top of the top were the hand written letters. Everyone got an addressed letter just for them. not random words, generic ‘thank you for coming’, but a full letter that left many of guests in tears. That’s why you invite guests to your wedding. Not to fill the room, not to share on social media how popular you are. But to share happiness with the people you love the most. Absolutely beautiful.

Bridey and Ash - Thank you so much for trusting me, and allowing me to be a part of your day. It’s been an honour!

All the best!
