Carlie & Jonathan

“ You will always be my colour… “

I was too happy when Carlie have asked me if I could film the ceremony!
Why?
This is the only thing that preserves the moment in motion and sound.

Now, they can always hear the vows, see the emotions changing in a split second. And simply cherish and re-live this moment

Ceremony Film

Preparation

Jonathan was getting ready at home with his friends and his brother. It was super nice, relaxed, really chilled. They were sitting outside in the garden, on the terrace, having a few beers and just enjoying the morning together.

We did a few posed shots here and there, but it’s always important for me to keep things natural. I really thrive in those candid moments, when people are just being themselves.

At one point, Jonathan gave his groomsmen a small gift. Pocket flasks with their names on them. Such a nice touch, and something they’ll keep for years.

Also… it was crazy hot. I think that’s the one thing everyone will remember the most

Then I drove over to Carlie.

Her makeup was already done when I arrived, so I jumped straight into photographing the details and her dress. Everything looked beautiful, and honestly, everyone looked stunning.

We popped some champagne, had a glass of Mumm, and just enjoyed the morning together.

After a little while, Carlie and the girls got into their dresses.

Carlie… you looked absolutely stunning. That dress felt like it was made just for you.

We finished the preparation with a few shots up on the roof, with that amazing view over the water. Such a nice way to end the morning.

Ceremony

Heaven Gardens is honestly one of my favourite ceremony locations on the coast.

Jay was there with me helping to capture everything, while I quickly switched setups to film the ceremony. Audio ready, cameras ready, everything set.

And it was just… beautiful. So much love.

When couples choose to write their own vows, it gives you a real glimpse into their world. You get to hear things you normally wouldn’t. The way they support each other, the small things that matter, how they move through life together.

Carlie and Jonathan, it was really something special. I’m very grateful I got to film it.

Capturing Love in Portraits

The portrait session felt like the rest of the day. Easy, fun, natural, with a bit of that editorial touch.

These two could easily be on the cover of a magazine.

What I love the most about that time?

It’s the moment when the couple has time to be alone, for a few minutes. Yes - we spent 30-40min away from your guests, but that’s also your day.

That moment will never come back. I love when you two are just by yourself, when you have that few minutes to take a breath and realise - you did it!

The Celebration Begins

The reception was very relaxed, and I loved it.

Cocktail style, food moving around, people just enjoying themselves. The weather was perfect for it too, and at one point there was even a little rainbow.

Speeches on the grass… honestly, such a good idea. Everyone was relaxed, but still really present.

It didn’t feel like two separate families coming together. It felt like one big group of friends celebrating love.

We moved into the dances and the party after, and it definitely didn’t disappoint.

Carlie and Jonathan, thank you for the trust you put in me.

It was an absolute honour to be part of your day.
